
Every company has a determined process to solve problems, develop products or just continue with the normal flow of common tasks doing them efficiently while saving precious time and effort of their workers. Keeping tasks in order, maintaining the established process and having a place to look at your assigned duties for a process is a need a lot of companies have.
Our client Mills, is a Norwegian company that produces different kinds of food products. In the process of inventing new products and tastes the company has a detailed process with numerous activities that need to be executed during a determined timespan for a better control of this process. Mills needed a Silverlight web application linked to SharePoint2010 portal as the main tool for both documenting and controlling their processes.
The application works in Silverlight integrated with a list of activities developed in Sharepoint. This list is filled by the administrator, creating tasks, milestones and processes for the workers assigning duties to be followed and checked by the employees during the project. The workers are shown every task including the detail foe each part of the process allowing them to complete their duties as fast and efficiently as possible.
The app gives order and a visual shape to processes showing in an interactive and friendly way the tasks to be made by workers in any company.
