Starting point:
Ecoconsult AS is Norway’s largest distributor of Energy Conservation Products. They were on the lookout for a new eCommerce platform for the consumer and vendor markets, but had limited funds on their budget. They opted for Open Source technology and Xcode as their implementation partner, as we were alone in ability to accommodate their needs within their budget.

Technology:
The solution is built on Joomla 1.5 and VirtueMart as product category. There has been a lot of customization, but mostly outside Joomla Core. This includes, among other things, integration with Visma Global, standard shopping cart based on Ajax and the development of a lead tracking system to follow up on leads sent to vendors.

The result:
Ecoconsult now has an advanced eCommerce solution, based on Joomla and VirtueMart, integrated with Visma (ERP) – without going on a spending spree! Improved channel management with lead tracking system. It started off as a project, but they now rent a resource from Xcode for 80hours a month to add functionality to the site.
