Xcode has developed a web application that gives real estate brokers the possibility of creating real estate advertisements and sales prospects in an easy and flexible way and with their own graphical expression. Text and pictures are being automatically imported from Midas EmProf (that has 80% market share in Norway) and the brokers can set together complete pages with advertisements with newspaper quality in minutes.

Early 2008 Xcode was contacted by a real estate broker, Z-eiendom in Tønsberg, Norway. Z-eiendom was not satisfied with their existing application for creating advertisements for their properties. One of the main marketing activities for a real estate broker is advertising in newspapers and a considerable amount of advertisements must be created each week. Most of the data to be included in the advertisements are already created in their ERP-system Midas EmProf, and Z-eiendom wanted a possibility of utilizing this information when creating their advertisement. In addition they wanted flexibility regarding ad sizes and how to put the ads together on a newspaper page and they also wanted their existing design to be used. As a final requirement, they wanted the solution to be able to produce sales prospects. This is a comprehensive way of presenting the property for the buyers including all relevant information.

Xcode has developed a solution that meets all these requirements and gives Z-eiendom the possibility of creating ads and sales prospects in minutes and not hours. We are retrieving data and pictures from EmProf with web services. The solution is based on Joomla 1.5.9 (administrator), using a MySQL database, scripting in PHP 5, and with Ajax. The following libraries have been used: TCPDF, Jquery and YahooUI.
